Fulham have boosted their survival hopes with two wins in their last four matches including a surprise victory at Leicester on Monday.
Unfortunately for the Cottagers, there looks little hope of them maintaining that momentum this weekend having been priced up at 20/1 for victory in Manchester.
City thrashed Burnley 5-0 here last week and we’re backing them to win by four goals or more at 9/5 for our opening Man City vs Fulham prediction.
A Look At Manchester City’s Betting Odds
City have won their Champions League group with a game to spare and can now focus on improving their Premier League position.
Pep Guardiola’s men start the weekend in the bottom half of the table but looked back to their best in the rout against Burnley, which featured a Riyad Mahrez hat-trick.
A near fully-fit squad means Guardiola has plenty of options and he was able to make seven changes for the goalless draw with Porto on Tuesday night, when he only made one substitution.
Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne remained on the bench and Guardiola is now happy with the competition for places at the club.
“I want to give them minutes,” he said regarding his team selection against Porto. “They showed me, like the players against Burnley, that everybody is fit and ready. They have to know this is the way.
“So I can trust the players that played here, without a doubt, the same I can trust the players that played against Burnley. It is a competition against them.
“That is the good news. Now after the qualification, with the Champions League (resuming) in February, now is the time to focus on the Premier League.”
All this sounds ominous for their upcoming opponents and City to win both halves looks a solid pick at 4/5 in the Man City vs Fulham odds.
Last Man City line-up: Ederson, Dias, Zinchenko, Cancelo, Garcia, Rodri, Silva, Fernandinho, Foden, Sterling, Torres.
Sergio Aguero is back in training after a knee issue but will not be risked against the Cottagers.
A Look At Fulham’s Betting Odds
Fulham have shown some signs of improvement recently but it is hard to overlook the fact they have conceded the most goals in the Premier League this season.
That was also the case when they were last in the top flight two years ago, when they lost every away match against a top-half team.
The win at Leicester suggests they are made of stronger stuff this time but they have already conceded four goals at Leeds and three against Everton, Aston Villa and Arsenal.
City have arguably more firepower than those teams and have also kept three consecutive clean sheets in all competitions so this should be a routine home win, as it was when City won 4-0 against Fulham in the FA Cup in January.
For our final Man City vs Fulham prediction, backing the hosts to win 4-0, 5-0 or 6-0 at 31/10 should give us a decent run for our money.
Last Fulham line-up: Areola, Andersen, Adarabioyo, Robinson, Aina, Loftus-Cheek, Reed, Zambo, Decordova-Reid, Cavaleiro, Lookman.
Fulham have no new injury concerns but the game will come too soon for defender Kenny Tete, who has returned to training this week.
Porto 0-0 MAN CITY
Leicester 1-2 FULHAM – Ademola Lookman, Ivan Cavaleiro (pen)
Head-to-head: Man City 4-0 Fulham, Fulham 0-2 Man City, Man City 2-0 Fulham, Man City 3-0 Fulham
