Hapoel Beer Sheva to beat Arda @ 4/7

The Israeli outfit are sitting pretty following a 2-0 first-leg victory in Bulgaria and can finish the job off in style. Hapoel were strong on home turf in the Europa League last season, beating Motherwell and Viktoria Plzen here in qualifiers before seeing off Slavia Prague and Nice at Itztadion HaMoshava during the group stage. HBS will be determined to further enhance that impressive record in preparation for tougher tests ahead.

Hibs to win at Santa Coloma @ 2/5

The Scottish side will take a commanding 3-0 lead to Andorra and may be keen to inflict further punishment on their opponents following a tetchy contest at Easter Road. Hibs had Joe Newell controversially sent off on 29 minutes in Edinburgh but still led 2-0 before a couple of Santa Coloma players saw red. Jack Ross said: “It was eventful. I know the game changes again with the other sendings off but before that we looked a better side again and the players deserved credit for that.”

Hacken to beat Aberdeen @ 23/20

The Dons will have fond memories of visiting Gothenburg, the Swedish city where they beat Real Madrid in the final of the 1983 European Cup Winners’ Cup under Sir Alex Ferguson. However, Stephen Glass may be more focused on Sunday’s Scottish Premiership opener with Dundee United this time and can afford to rest key players following a 5-1 first-leg romp at Pittodrie. Hacken are much better than that display, judged on a six-match unbeaten run in domestic fixtures, and can at least salvage some pride with a win on the night.

BATE Borisov to beat Dinamo Batumi @ 8/11

Both of these teams are going well in their domestic leagues, with BATE second in Belarus and Dinamo flying high in Georgia. However, BATE have much more experience of playing in Europe and that helped them claim a 1-0 win away from home in the opening leg. Arsenal were beaten by the same scoreline at Borisov Arena in the Europa League knockout rounds just a few years ago after Chelsea had been given a tough test during the group stage and that pedigree makes the hosts worth sticking with in our Europa Conference League predictions.
